Since this annual event usually sells out fast I thought I would post something about it before the weekend's agenda, as I recommend you get your tickets in your advance!
Event: Museumnacht /Museum night @ 42 museums in Amsterdam, Saturday, 19.00 - 02.00 (with some museums closing at midnight), €20 (your ticket also includes a visit to any of the participating museums valid Sunday the 8th - December 31st), stuff for kids.
What is Museumnacht? It is a night celebrating the museums in Amsterdam. One ticket gets you in 42 museums which have special events, live music, debates, food, drinks, etc... Check out the program for more detailed information, where you can also make your own program.
Why is it so popular? This is your chance to experience the museums in a special way- at night and with a beer if you like. Additionally most museums organize special events that are only held for this one night; for example last year at Artis you could get a tour behind the aquarium tanks.
