The weekend of June 6 and 7th is the IJazz Festival in Amsterdam Noord at the NDSM werf.
As a tourist you might be interested in: good quality jazz (with some famous names), in an unique environment (in old warehouses and industrial buildings), and you get to take the free boat (furthest on your left behind Centraal Station) across the IJ River.
